Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly organized and experienced Admissions Coordinator to join our team.
The Admissions Coordinator plays a crucial role in the admission process, ensuring a smooth transition for residents and their families into our facility.
This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of the admission process, including pre-admission assessments, paperwork, and communication with residents and their families.
Coordinate with healthcare professionals, discharge planners, and insurance companies to facilitate admissions.
Conduct tours of the facility for potential residents and their families, providing information about our services and amenities.
Ensure all admission documents are completed accurately and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with the nursing and administrative teams to coordinate bed assignments and ensure proper placement of residents.
Maintain accurate records of admissions, discharges, and resident demographics.
Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, and external partners throughout the admission process.
Qualifications:
Previous experience working in admissions, preferably in a skilled nursing facility or healthcare setting.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to admissions and documentation.
Compassionate and empathetic demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
Relevant certifications or coursework in healthcare administration or related field a plus.
