Once you are trained your responsibilities may be:
Understand automotive technology and repair.
Diagnose problems with vehicles and recommend repairs to customers.
Repair, adjust, and service vehicle parts, such as engines and transmissions.
Communicate with customers regarding repair status and costs.
Install vehicle batteries.
Work with general mechanical systems on vehicles, such as automatic transmissions.
Read car engine diagrams and schematics, such as monitoring computer systems.
Check all associated fluids in a car.
Checking oil level, charging battery, checking coolant levels.
